Program Overview

Collaborative Leadership Immersion (CLI) will equip you with essential tools and techniques for leading teams, facilitating change, running meetings and inspiring others to achieve collective goals. After this program, you’ll look forward to leading and attending meetings. You’ll have the confidence to deal with challenging people and situations and the tools to help teams achieve great results. This program will dramatically increase your leadership self - awareness and ability to leverage the best thinking, creativity and commitment of others when solving problems and making decisions.

Approach

This three-day, applied skills program emphasizes individual practice coupled with in-depth, constructive feedback from the group and session leader. Videotaping of your facilitation practice sessions is a primary learning tool that provides real-time opportunities for coaching, feedback and experiential learning.

  • Comfort/Stretch/Learning (Understand model for learning)
  • Personal Outcomes (Identify participants’ desired leadership breakthrough for the CLI session)
  • Observation Skills (Learn group decision-making options and lenses for observing group dynamics)

  • Lab 1 Set-Up & Preparation
  • Collaboration Lab 1 (Baseline participants’ facilitation style through videotaped practice with indepth feedback on leadership impact)

Day Two March 18th, (8:00 am – 5:30 pm)

  • Day 2 Overview
  • Tools Framework (Understand a group problem solving model)
  • Collaboration & Problem-Solving Tools (Learn how to apply nominal group technique, brainstorming, storyboarding dot voting, 2x2 matrix and in/out silent storyboarding tools to help groups solve business problems)
  • Interventions Skills (Learn how to handle challenging people and situations in meetings)
  • Lunch
  • Preventions & Agenda Design (Learn how to setup and design meetings for success)
  • Lab 2 Planning & Preparation (Design day three facilitation lab using all CLI tools and skills)
  • Day 2 Wrap-Up

Day Three March, 19th (8:00 am – 4:30 pm)

  • Collaborating in Virtual Environments (Demonstrate and discuss applications of leadership skills and tools in virtual settings)
  • Lab 2 Set-Up & Final Preparation
  • Collaboration Lab 2 (Apply and integrate all tools and skills through videotaped practice with indepth feedback on leadership impact)

Dress code: Comfortable business casual dress and shoes. There are bouts of standing.

What To Bring: Please bring your laptop, iPad or iPhone to the session as you will need to transfer video to your device for viewing.
Meals: Continental breakfast will be provided each day at 7:30 AM. Breaks and refreshments will also be provided between segments each day. Lunch breaks will be 45 minutes (or longer if time permits) and at your expense. There is a café conveniently located in the building; and to help expedite the lunch time, menus will be provided each morning to make your selection.
