Wendi Peck

CEO

With over 15 years of corporate experience and approaching 25 years of consulting experience, Wendi provides consultation and advisory support to senior leaders on organizational culture, strategic planning and execution, strategic communication, leadership, and organizational performance. In addition, she designs and delivers seminars for executive leaders on those topics, as well as writes extensively about them.

In 1996 Wendi left her corporate position to found a boutique management consultancy serving senior leaders in both private and public sectors. Her company became successful quickly and in 1999 acquired another consultancy. The company was then re-named “Executive Leadership Group, Inc.” (ELG). It is a small business and has been certified women-owned by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

As a consultant, Wendi has worked with senior leaders across a variety of industries. Private-sector clients have included companies such as Seagate Technologies, Molson-Coors, and ING. Public-sector clients have included all of the US military services, National Security Agency, and Coast Guard. In recent military work, Wendi and the ELG team have assisted several senior Navy leaders with strategic planning and execution, organizational alignment, and strategic assessment.  She has also provided consultation to senior Air Force leaders in support of their squadron revitalization efforts. Most of her work is at the C-level or, in the military, at the senior officer or senior civilian level.

As a public speaker and teacher, Wendi has delivered many seminars on practical issues facing leaders. This includes the design and delivery of ELG’s collaborative working sessions to help clients accelerate big improvements. Wendi has also designed and taught corporate and military leadership programs. This includes serving as curriculum advisor and adjunct faculty to the Center for Executive Education at the Naval Postgraduate School for 10 years, and providing executive seminars for the Haas School of Business (University of California, Berkeley) and for the Joint Special Operations University. Wendi received her MBA from the University of Denver and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. She also attended Harvard University’s Program on Negotiation: “Negotiation and Leadership.” She is a member of the U.S. Naval Institute, Navy League and Women in Defense.

Wendi co-authored with Bill Casey “Managing for Results,” a monthly column for the Denver Business Journal, and was a contributing author to the book, Business Driven Information Technology: Answers to 100 Critical Questions for Every Manager, sponsored by the University of Colorado at Denver’s College of Business and published by Stanford University Press. Wendi and Bill Casey co-authored the book, Executive Smarts: 25 Quick Reads on Managing for Results. And most recently, Wendi co-authored with Col Russell S. Williford, “Success on Purpose: A Message for Leaders of Military Organizations,” published in the Joint Forces Quarterly 99, 4th Quarter 2020. https://ndupress.ndu.edu/Portals/68/Documents/jfq/jfq-99/jfq-99_88-94_Williford-Peck.pdf
